Addressing Performance Problems and Giving Effective Feedback (The Art of Communicating Well.)

This seminar will explore some of the necessary tools for giving and receiving effective feedback necessary for managers and supervisors to be successful. When feedback is attempted at the wrong time or given in the wrong way, the results may be useless and possibly disastrous. Good feedback is essential to effective development, and it is important for employees to know what they do, that is effective and which areas need improvement.

However, development does not occur in a single discussion. It occurs over time and requires on-going information, so that as employees try new approaches, they receive information on how well these have worked. This is a continuous process and is best supported by a manager/supervisor who develops the skills in providing effective verbal feedback and uses them frequently on the job.
